I have never had a problem with the service department with my last visit. I was told it would take an hour and a half. But it was finished in an hour, so I think they’re trying to pull the old Star Trek trick of Scotty saying it’s gonna take a long time to fix something and then he looks like a miracle worker when it happens quickly.

Recently had my vehicle serviced at Raceway Chevrolet. The service technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and did a great job explaining the issues and the work that needed to be done. That said, the quality of service and professionalism from the staff were solid, so you’re definitely paying for reliable work. About two weeks ago I received an online notification from Raceway Chevrolet in Hartsville, S.C. that I was due for routine servicing, tire rotation, etc. John Robinson of the service staff conveniently arranged for a service appointment that very afternoon. After a very reasonable wait service was accomplished. John was very considerate in making me aware of available Chevrolet service coupon which gave to me a significant savings. Also the service staff’s very thorough system diagnosis revealed a serious parking brake hazard. Parts promptly ordered a replacement module and John had me back on the road again in one work day. Mat Thomas and Danny Stanley did a great job! To be honest I was just browsing the inventory (kicking tires) but decided to seal the deal right on the spot. I had been looking and shopping around online for 6 mo's already, but they were both so friendly and helpful that I decided I wanted to give them my business on the spot. I am very happy with my choice too. The whole process was painless, my wife and I decided to take the Silverado and they did all the heavy lifting of applying for financing and the temporary registration. They were very patient despite our two young kids running around and doing what kids do. Overall very highly recommend!

At this time I have less than 5000 miles on the Trax and this was the second time that I had to come in for emissions, problems, or issues. Both times it was in the winter months and I think what’s happening is when it’s coldest outside the gas fumes in the tank don’t have as much pressure as during the summer when it’s very warm. This last time they reset the light on the dash however the temperatures are now slowly coming up higher, so I’m waiting to see if I actually needed to do anything more to fix this problem or if it was all a cold related issue.

Even though it was late in the day service advisor John Robinson responded immediately and had my vehicle at the dealership in less than an hour.
