The Chevy Blazer takes what you love about a crossover SUV and adds a bold, aggressive exterior look and an engaging driving experience. The 2021 model received some minor updates, including making the Safety Assist Package standard for some trim levels and offering a trailering package for the V-6 engine with front-wheel drive. Trim Levels

The entry-level Blazer L has 18-inch alloy wheels and heated side exterior mirrors. Stepping up to the 1LT or 2LT gets you deep-tinted glass, and the 3LT adds a power liftgate. The sporty RS comes with a sport-tuned suspension, black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels, a black grille, black exterior trim elements, and a programmable, gesture-controlled tailgate. Moving all the way up to the top of the lineup and the Premier gets you upgraded 20-inch wheels, a chrome grille, and silver exterior trim elements.

Engine

Chevy offers the Blazer with three different engines. The base powertrain is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder gas engine with 193 horsepower. The 2LT and 3LT have a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that puts out 227 horsepower, and the RS and Premier trims have a more powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 308 horsepower. The Blazer's base engine comes with front-wheel drive, and the two upgraded powertrains offer all-wheel drive.

Performance

The Blazer offers a comfortable ride no matter where you take it with a suspension that easily smooths out road imperfections. When equipped, it can tow up to 1,500 pounds with the base engine and up to 4,500 pounds with the V-6.

Interior

There's room for five passengers in the Blazer with cloth upholstery in the L, which also has a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and push-button start. The 3LT adds leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and a power-adjustable passenger seat. Upgrades in the Premier include heated and ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel with memory settings, and heated rear seats. Along with its sporty exterior, the RS adds a heated steering wheel in the cabin and black leather upholstery. Technology in the Blazer starts with an 8-inch color touch screen, Bluetooth, two USB charging ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Onstar with a Wi-Fi hot spot. Chevy adds satellite radio to the 1LT, and the RS comes with navigation and a 120-volt power outlet. The Sound and Technology Package for the 3LT adds an upgraded eight-speaker Bose stereo, the Infotainment 3 system, and an 8-inch touch screen with navigation.

Safety

The two entry-level Blazer trims come standard with a rearview camera, seven air bags, and traction and stability control. The 3LT and up add a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, and a lane-change alert system. Additional safety features are optional as part of packages. You can get all the advanced systems such as forward collision warning, automatic braking, a safety alert seat that vibrates under the driver to alert them, and adaptive cruise control.
